The Institute of Financial Studies and the Financial Supervisory Authority, in partnership with “1 Decembrie 1918” University in Alba Iulia, invite you on November 17, 2022, at 15:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar – Academic Laboratory. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, as well as technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.

Special guests at the November 17 session:

Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Firm Financial Diagnosis and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, namely: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016-2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Commission, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous undergraduate and master’s programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized through the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 are in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in scientific research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; and models for researching enterprise behavior.

Conf. univ. dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, Doctor in the field of Finance - Insurance with over 20 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed post-doctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, BDI articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. An ANC-authorized trainer with international certifications, she has contributed to the development of professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She delivers presentations at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects for students (middle school, high school) and pre-university teachers.

Dan Alexandru Chitic is an economist, graduate of ASE Bucharest, and holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial market, working in both the banking and non-banking sectors. Since 2017, he has been working at the Financial Supervisory Authority as the head of financial education. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous teaching activities and has delivered presentations to employees of non-banking entities, teachers, and at various universities in Romania. He has also given lectures at several conferences and seminars.

Mircea Ștefan SOLOVĂSTRU, with over 25 years of professional experience in the Capital Market, graduated in economics from the “Babeș Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca – class of 1997. Always focused on his professional and educational development in the Capital Market, he completed a master’s degree program in Banking and Capital Markets at the same university in 2006. Subsequently, in 2014, he obtained a doctorate in economics in the field of finance, with the research topic “Consolidation of the Romanian Capital Market, Present and Perspectives.” Professionally, he began his career in the Capital Market in 1996 at Unicapital SA – Financial Services and Investment Company (SSIF), as a regional director. From 2007 to 2011, he carried out teaching activities as a chief lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu-Mureș. During 2019-2020 and 2021-2022, he was an associate professor at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, and since March 2022, he has been part of CNAI (National College of Internal Affairs). Since 2013, he has been Vice-President of the Capital Market Professionals Organization. Since April 2014, he has been a full member of the Trading Admission Commission (Special Advisory Commission of the Bucharest Stock Exchange), currently in his 4th term. His professional experience led to his appointment in 2011 as a Member of the Board of Directors of SSIF Swiss Capital S.A, a Financial Services and Investment Company, one of the top three brokers on the Romanian Capital Market. Swiss Capital is recognized in the market as the company that facilitated some of the largest transactions on the Romanian Capital Market. December 2020 marked his election as a member of the Board of Directors of CCP.RO Bucharest SA – Central Counterparty, a major project for the functioning of the Capital Market and the Energy Market in Romania, with the potential to be made available to other countries.
