The Institute of Financial Studies in partnership with the Valahia University from Târgoviște through the Faculty of Economic Sciences invites you on the date of 27 October 2023, hour – 14:00 to the Vocational Training Seminar SmartFIN@ISF. The seminar includes interactive presentations on the subject of career and presentations of case studies, technical and practical aspects from the field of insurance, capital market, pensions. The event is organized within the International Conference Global Interferences of Knowledge Society - GIKS 2023, 4th edition.

Mariana CIUREL is Management Advisor within the Bucharest Stock Exchange, a company where she has been active for over 17 years. In the period 2010-2013, Mariana led the Institute of Corporate Governance Foundation of the BVB, as a volunteer Executive Director. Previously, she was an MISE trainee in the leadership program of the AP Moller Maersk Group. Mariana has a passion for both business development and strategy, with extensive experience in capital markets, international business, and corporate governance, and combines understanding of commercial issues with strategic orientation. She has succeeded in business transformation and stakeholder engagement. She leads with exceptional influence skills and an open management style to motivate people to work consistently at a high standard and to effect massive positive changes in a wide range of challenging situations. Mariana is a strong promoter of financial education, capital markets, and corporate governance. She is a member of the Association of Independent Administrators in Romania since April 2021. Also, she is a volunteer for NGOs in the field of education and children. Mariana Ciurel is an economist by profession, holding a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a master’s degree in management from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, along with an MBA degree from CNAM Paris.
Liliana OPREA, Branch Manager NN Asigurări de Viață Târgoviște. She has been part of the sales force of NN Asigurări de Viață for over 23 of the 26 years of presence of the international insurance company on the market in Romania. Since 2020, Liliana is Branch Manager, a role in which she is responsible for the team of NN financial consultants in Târgoviște and in which she actively participates in financial education and social responsibility initiatives in the community she is part of.
