The Institute of Financial Studies in partnership with the Romanian-American University in Bucharest invites you on the date of 29 November 2023, hour – 11:30 to the Vocational Training Seminar SmartFIN@ISF. The seminar includes interactive presentations on the subject of career and presentations of case studies, technical and practical aspects from the field of insurance, capital market, pensions.
Special guests at the session of 29 November:
Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of the ISF and university professor doctor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in the disciplines of Economic-Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of the Firm and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. Has a rich experience in university management, holding the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance of education, as well as that of Dean, in the period 2012 – 2016. Was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). Is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, respectively: expert evaluator ANEVAR, being General Secretary of the association in the period 2016-2017; expert accountant, member CECCAR; tax consultant, member CCFR. Since the year 2014 is Vice-President of the Romanian Society of Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since the year 2017 is a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration”, and since the year 2018 a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Commission, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s study programs in the economic field. Has a vast experience in scientific research activity materialized in the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 articles in journals indexed Web of Science with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, participation in scientific research contracts as grant director or member of the research team. Is a reviewer for several journals indexed Web of Science and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. The main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
Mihai Purcărea, is general director of BRD Asset Management, one of the main investment fund managers in Romania. The company manages eight open-end investment funds with assets of 4.5 billion RON attracted from both individuals and legal entities. Before taking the current position, he held the position of investment director at Erste Asset Management. Mihai is a member of the board of directors of the CFA Romania association and the Association of Fund Managers in Romania.
Ileana BOTEZ, is one of the pioneers of the capital market in Romania, with over 25 years of experience in this field. Since 1995, she has been working at the Bucharest Stock Exchange, acting at BVB as general secretary of the company, coordinating as director the activity of admitting companies to trading on the markets managed by the Exchange and intermediaries to trading, the relationship with the company’s shareholders, marketing activities, communication, and international relations specific to this field, as well as in corporate governance, contributing to the implementation of the BVB Corporate Governance Code project. Currently, she coordinates the activity of admission to trading, as well as the financial education program “Fluent in Finance”. She is a graduate of the Romanian-Canadian MBA, specializing in Finance, of the Faculty of Finance and Banking of ASE, of the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Sciences of the Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, and is a trainer certified by ANC. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Exchanges. Since 2020, she is a doctoral student at the Academy of Economic Studies, Doctoral School of Finance, with a topic in the field of corporate governance.
Daniela Ambrose - is a graduate of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest, field of study Human Resources, and of the master’s program in Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management. She joined the UNIQA team in 2019, as a Training and Organizational Development Specialist, where she has been involved in several HR projects aimed at discovering, developing, and continuously training the potential of employees.
