The Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with the University of Oradea, invites you on December 12, 2023, at 10:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, as well as technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special guests at the December 12 session:
Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Firm Financial Diagnosis and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, namely: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016-2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Commission, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous undergraduate and master’s programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized through the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 are in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in scientific research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; and models for researching enterprise behavior.
Ileana BOTEZ is one of the pioneers of the Romanian capital market, with over 25 years of experience in this field. Since 1995, she has been working at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), serving as the company’s Secretary General, coordinating as director the activities related to the admission to trading of companies on the markets managed by the Exchange and of trading intermediaries, relations with the company’s shareholders, marketing, communication, and international relations specific to this field, as well as corporate governance, contributing to the implementation of the BVB Corporate Governance Code project. She currently coordinates the activities of admission to trading and the financial education program “Fluent in Finance.” She is a graduate of the Romanian-Canadian MBA, specializing in Finance, the Faculty of Finance and Banking at ASE, the Faculty of Legal and Administrative Sciences at Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, and is an ANC-certified trainer. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Exchanges. Since 2020, she has been a doctoral candidate at the Academy of Economic Studies, Doctoral School of Finance, with a research topic in the field of corporate governance.
Horia Braun ERDEI is the Executive President (CEO) of Erste Asset Management Romania. An experienced investment management professional with a 19-year career in the financial sector, including 5 years at the National Bank of Romania (macroeconomic modeling and forecasting), 6 years in private pension fund management (managing the assets of the largest private pension fund in Romania), 3 years in banking (serving as chief economist at Banca Comercială Română), and 6 years in fund management.
