The Institute of Financial Studies and the Financial Supervisory Authority, in partnership with the Valahia University in Târgoviște, invite you on April 2, 2024, at 12:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar & ASF Academic Laboratory. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics, case studies, and technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.

Special Guests at the April 2 Session:

  • Professor Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Corporate Financial Diagnosis and is a PhD advisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008–2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012–2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016 to 2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Committee, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized through the publication of 7 books and university textbooks, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
  • Paul DUMITRU works within the Financial Supervisory Authority, Monitoring and Financial Education Service. With a career spanning over 20 years (including 15 years in insurance), Mr. Dumitru has worked for various multinational and local companies in corporate and entrepreneurial financial services, where he held several managerial positions at both local and regional levels (in Central and Eastern Europe). He is a graduate, valedictorian, of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, holds a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), an MBA (ASE / University of Ottawa), and is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, a certification in insurance from The Institutes (US).
  • Ștefan MUȘGOCIU has been active in the capital market since 2007. Initially, he was a capital market journalist at the Mediafax press agency until 2014, when he joined the Bucharest Stock Exchange team.
