The Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with the Petroleum-Gas University in Ploiești, invites you on April 2, 2024, at 13:30 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics, case studies, and technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special Guests at the April 2 Session:
- Professor Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Corporate Financial Diagnosis and is a PhD advisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008–2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012–2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016 to 2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Committee, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized through the publication of 7 books and university textbooks, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
- Mihai Constantinescu is the Sales Director at Amundi Asset Management, the largest European fund manager, with assets under management exceeding 2,000 billion euros. Mihai oversees activities related to the sale of Amundi funds in Romania, both to individual clients and institutional clients. His responsibilities include: developing the sales strategy, commercial activities, client presentations on developments in local and international capital markets, meetings with clients, and various training sessions with the distributor’s sales teams (UniCredit Bank). The professional experience accumulated over the last 13 years at Amundi provides him with a deep understanding of capital markets, which he shares in financial education training sessions and presentations. Additionally, prior to working at Amundi, Mihai had 7 years of experience in the banking system, holding roles in operational risk management as well as various positions in Private Banking.
