The Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with “Titu Maiorescu” University in Bucharest, invites you on April 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special guests at the April 11 session:
Prof. Univ. Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Financial-Economic Analysis and Corporate Financial Diagnosis and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, serving as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, as well as Dean during the period 2012 – 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional economic associations, namely: expert evaluator ANEVAR, serving as General Secretary of the association in the period 2016-2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Financial-Economic Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration”, and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Committee, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized in the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 articles in Web of Science indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in scientific research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. The main research directions are: financial performance and enterprise risks; sectoral financial-economic analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
Alina BĂRBULESCU, General Insurance (non-auto) specialist, has been part of the UNSAR team for 2 years, with 14 years of experience in the insurance field. She specializes in property and casualty insurance. Insurance entered her life in her first year of university when she joined the insurance industry. The following years were fulfilling, during which she learned the basics of this industry, which shaped and developed her both as a professional and as a person.
Ovidiu Lucian ISAC holds the position of General Director of the brokerage company ESTINVEST.
