The Institute of Financial Studies and the Financial Supervisory Authority, in partnership with the "Lucian Blaga" University in Sibiu, invite you on 23 May 2024, at 14:00, to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar & A.S.F. Academic Laboratory. The seminar includes interactive presentations on the topic of online security and fraud.

Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Financial Diagnosis of the Firm and is a PhD supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, as well as Dean from 2012 – 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, namely: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as General Secretary of the association from 2016-2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration”, and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Commission, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous undergraduate and master’s degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized in the publication of 7 books and university textbooks, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 articles in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; and models for researching enterprise behavior.
Ieronim ȘTEFAN – Coordinator of the Financial Education Department at ISF
Paul DUMITRU – works within the Financial Supervisory Authority, Monitoring and Financial Education Service. With a career spanning over 20 years (of which 15 years in insurance), Mr. Dumitru has worked for various multinational and local companies in corporate and entrepreneurial financial services, where he held several managerial positions at both local and regional levels (in Central and Eastern Europe). He is a graduate, top of his class, of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, holds a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), an MBA (ASE/University of Ottawa), and is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, a certification in insurance from The Institutes (US).
Rebeca CERCEL – Responsible for Junior Student Projects at Groupama Asigurări, she serves as the liaison between the company and the university environment, facilitating collaboration and the development of joint projects. Rebeca is pursuing a master’s degree in Communication Models and Public Relations at the University of Bucharest. She has been working with students for over 5 years. She was a student representative, held key roles in the Prime Romania association, including that of president, and currently applies her knowledge and skills at Groupama.
