The Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), together with the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), continues in the 2024-2025 academic year, in partnership with prestigious universities in Romania, the SmartFIN@ISF – Academic Laboratory – Vocational Training Seminars program. The program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of students, who will become future consumers of financial services upon completing their studies and potential employees in the financial markets (insurance, banking, private pensions, and investments). The seminars are delivered by experts from the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Institute of Financial Studies, and entities active in non-banking financial markets, partners of ISF.

The SmartFIN@ISF project began in 2021 and has so far included 175 meetings attended by 12,603 students. These students received participation certificates from ISF, recognized by institutions active in the non-banking financial markets.

The project provides students with the opportunity to access practical and useful information through free financial education seminars/webinars.

Starting this year, the SmartFIN project will be conducted as follows:

  • in-person attendance: minimum 100 students participating.

  • online participation: minimum 30 students participating.

Depending on the students’ needs, two types of vocational training are offered in the non-banking financial markets:

  • academic Laboratory: detailed sessions lasting 60-120 minutes, focusing on specific topics with applied, interactive content tailored to the target audience’s level of difficulty. The list of topics can be accessed here.

  • SmartFIN: diversified sessions lasting up to 90 minutes, covering personal development aspects (career, presentation skills, interviews) combined with technical aspects specific to financial markets. The list of topics can be accessed here.

Upon participation, students will receive Certificates of Participation issued by ISF, recognized by institutions active in the non-banking financial markets.
