The Institute of Financial Studies and the Financial Supervisory Authority, in partnership with the “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu, invite you on May 13, 2025, at 14:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar and ASF Academic Laboratory. The seminar includes interactive presentations, case studies, and technical and practical aspects from the fields of financial education, capital markets, and the private pension market.

Special Guests at the May 13, 2025 Session:

  • Ieronim ȘTEFAN – Holds a degree in Public Administration and Management and a master’s degree in Banking and Insurance, both obtained from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Craiova. With a solid background in economics, he has gained professional experience at the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in the financial-accounting department and at the Insured Guarantee Fund (FGA). Since 2020, he has been part of the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF) team, where, since 2024, he has coordinated the Financial Education Department. He is certified as a Trainer and Project Manager.
  • Dragoș GHEORGHE – With over 18 years of experience in the banking industry, prior to his appointment as Executive Director and Member of the Board at BCR Pensii, he held various key positions in Corporate Banking at prestigious financial institutions such as BCR and Citibank. At BCR Pensii, Dragoș manages digital business models and marketing and sales strategies, while also being involved in financial education projects, promoting responsible financial behavior where long-term savings are essential for a comfortable life in retirement.
  • Răzvan POPP – Economist, holds the position of Head of the Transparency and Issuer Reporting Service within the General Directorate – Financial Instruments and Investments Sector at the Financial Supervisory Authority, a structure responsible for overseeing issuers’ reporting obligations and ensuring shareholders’ rights. He graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics, and Economic Informatics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, specializing in Economic Cybernetics. Since 2006, he has worked within the authority responsible for the supervision, authorization, and regulation of the capital market (formerly the National Securities Commission, now the Financial Supervisory Authority). With nearly 15 years of experience in the capital market, he has primarily focused on supervising issuers (companies admitted to trading). He began his career at the authority in the electronic transaction monitoring structure, as a specialist and later as an expert. Subsequently, he held positions such as Head of the Service responsible for overseeing issuers’ reporting obligations and shareholders’ rights (Issuer Monitoring and Investigation Service), Advisor to the President’s Office at CNVM, Advisor to the Vice-President’s Office at ASF – Financial Instruments and Investments Sector, and Director of the Complaints and Investor Protection Directorate.
