The Department of Examination and Evaluation (DEE) within the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF) had one of its most productive years in 2023, according to the report on the situation of insurance distributors. Throughout the past year, DEE organized 260 exams, of which 221 were conducted online and only 39 in offline format.

Implementing an efficient and secure system that allows the majority of exams to be taken online is one of the key facilities provided by ISF to individuals seeking to qualify in the field of insurance intermediation.

During the period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, over 23,000 individuals participated in the professional qualification exam, of whom 20,993 successfully passed the exam.

Of the total number of individuals who participated in the certification exams for insurance distribution, 60.76% came from the category of those who took the initial professional training exam, while the remaining 39.24% were insurance distributors who completed a cycle of continuous professional training.

The majority of those certified, 10,181, are insurance intermediaries, while over 2,300 are legal entity managers or executive managers in the field.

For obtaining the professional competence certificate for the occupation of Damage Assessment Specialist, 88 online practical exam sessions and 16 practical evaluation sessions were organized. Throughout the year, following the completion of the competence evaluation process, 41 individuals obtained the competence certificate.

The continuous professional training certification exam was taken by 158 damage assessment specialists, of whom 143 passed and obtained the completion certificate.

The activity of the Department of Examination and Evaluation (DEE) is focused on ensuring a standardized certification framework for professional training for occupations sectorally regulated by the Financial Supervisory Authority (A.S.F.).

Through its activities, DEE ensures access for all interested individuals to obtain the completion certificate for the targeted regulated occupation, while also promoting the principles of non-discriminatory treatment and equal opportunities.

To optimize the examination and professional competence evaluation process, DEE has been involved in the continuous development of the ISF Platform, by implementing new functionalities, aiming for the digital transformation of its activities.
