Alba Iulia, June 12, 2025

On June 12, 2025, in Alba Iulia, the dissemination event of the project “Implementation of EU Reforms on Retail Investments for the Green Transition,” part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), took place.

The event, organized by the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), focused on presenting the preliminary results of the research “Perception of Sustainable Financial Products,” carried out in partnership with the following organizations:

  • 2° Investing Initiative (France),

  • Baltic Studies Institute (Estonia),

  • Romanian Association of Financial Services Users (AURSF),

  • Association of Investor Relations Directors (Bulgaria).

The presentation, delivered by Cătălin Câmpeanu and Cristina Dobrică, analyzed the level of awareness and perception of retail investors regarding sustainable financial products, highlighting:

  • increased interest in investments with social and environmental impact;

  • the need for transparency and verifiability of impact;

  • concern about greenwashing risks;

  • the necessity of strengthening financial education regarding green products.

The EUKI project aims to support the integration of sustainability principles into financial recommendations and the alignment of the Romanian market with European requirements for responsible investments. Dissemination activities, such as the one in Alba Iulia, contribute to the dialogue among academia, professionals, and authorities regarding the development of a sustainable financial ecosystem.
