ISF organized on October 21, 2025, between 12:00 and 13:30, a vocational improvement seminar within the project on implementing EU reforms for retail investments aimed at the green transition.
The Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), in partnership with the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), organized a SmartFIN@ISF & Academic Laboratory vocational improvement seminar at Valahia University of Târgoviște, an event dedicated to deepening the financial and sustainability-related competencies of the 100 young students, as well as professors from the Faculty of Economic Sciences within the university.

The activity took place within the project “Implementing EU reforms regarding retail investments for the green transition,” carried out by ISF, and aimed to promote financial education and ESG principles as key elements for the development of a responsible and sustainable economy.

The topics addressed during the seminar were:

  • Financial education – the relationship between you and your money, focused on understanding the responsible management of personal resources;

  • Green finance and ESG principles: current directions on the Romanian financial market, highlighting the importance of environmental, social, and governance criteria in financial decision-making.

The lecturers for this event were Ieronim Ștefan – Coordinator of the Financial Education Department within ISF, and Răzvan Alexandru Popp – Head of the Transparency and Issuer Reporting Service, General Directorate – Financial Instruments and Investments Sector within ASF. Through these activities, ISF contributes to building a strong financial culture and integrating sustainability principles into the educational process, in line with European strategic objectives regarding the green transition.

This project is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
