Bucharest, November 21, 2022 - The Institute of Financial Studies (ISF) together with the Financial Supervisory Authority (A.S.F.) and in partnership with the National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises in Romania (CNIPMMR), launched last week the SME Hub, a program dedicated to the entrepreneurial environment.

The inaugural event took place in Bucharest on November 15, 2022, hosted by CNIPMMR. The meeting was organized as a workshop attended by entrepreneurs, representatives of ISF and A.S.F., other institutions relevant to the business environment, and experts from the non-banking financial market. Among the speakers were Mr. Sterică Fudulea, Secretary General of CNIPMMR, Prof. univ. dr. Dorel Paraschiv, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (ASE), Mr. Radu Hanga, President of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), Mr. Daniel Apostol, Director of Communication and Financial Education at the Financial Supervisory Authority (A.S.F.), Mr. Cătălin Câmpeanu, Deputy Director of the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), and Mr. Alexandru Ciuncan, President of the National Union of Insurance-Reinsurance Companies (UNSAR).

The first regional event was organized in Alba Iulia, hosted on November 17 by the “1 Decembrie 1918” University, with partners of the Institute of Financial Studies invited. Among those who spoke at the conference were Prof. univ. dr. Daniel Breaz, Rector of the “1 Decembrie 1918” University in Alba Iulia, Prof. univ. dr. Marian Siminică, Executive Director of ISF, Prof. univ. dr. Dorel Paraschiv, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Prof. univ. dr. Dan Topor, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the “1 Decembrie 1918” University, Mr. Dan Manolescu, President of the Chamber of Tax Consultants, Mr. Alexandru Ciuncan, President of UNSAR, and Mr. Daniel Apostol, Director of Communication and Financial Education at ASF.

The mission of the SME Hub is to build an interactive platform for consulting entrepreneurs regarding the challenges they face, to disseminate financial education programs aimed at the entrepreneurial environment and its employees, and to present and foster a clear understanding of concepts related to non-banking financial markets. This program aims to address specific needs identified through ongoing dialogue with entrepreneurs, thereby developing and strengthening the financial education efforts jointly carried out by the Institute of Financial Studies and the Financial Supervisory Authority.
