In view of the decisions announced by the authorities on limiting the organization of public events until 31 March 2020, in order to reduce the risks of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the management of the Institute of Financial Studies has decided to apply several preventive measures to protect those involved in the examination and training process provided by the ISF to the insurance market and the capital market.

"With immediate effect, we stop certain exams at the gym and we are quickly preparing to pass all the exams online. Fortunately, we have the infrastructure to examine online the approximately 15,000 people whose legislation requires an annual validation of knowledge and skills. In insurance, better than in other industries, risk avoidance is at the forefront. We understand the need to take these strict measures during this period to reduce the risk of the COVID-19 virus spreading, so as not to affect those we examine or those they will come into contact with later. The safety of participants in the examination and courses is and will always come first. We advise everyone to follow the recommendations of the authorities and to take into account all the prevention measures established, meant to stop the spread of the virus ", said Călin Rangu, the president of ISF.

"We join and are confident that the measures taken at national level will have the effect of limiting the spread of the virus and thus reducing the number of diseases in the next period. We will continue to treat with great responsibility the information transmitted by the authorities, and, if necessary, we will return with a new set of measures ", said Cătălin Câmpeanu, the deputy general director of ISF.

Here is the list of measures imposed by ISF and applied since March 9, 2020:

1. Organization of examination sessions for continuing professional training EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE, with the proviso that the registrations made for the sessions scheduled in the hall in March 2020 remain valid.

2. Cancellation of examination sessions for initial professional training (which is organized exclusively in the hall, according to the ISF Methodology, approved by the ASF Council) for which there are no entries yet,

3. Organization of examination sessions in the hall exclusively in compliance with strict hygiene rules: keeping at least 1.5 meters between candidates, prior sanitation of the hall and nominal call to the entrance to avoid congestion,

4. Suspension of course schedules and classroom examination sessions for April and May 2020.
