During 21–25 October 2024, the Faculty of Economic Sciences at Valahia University in Târgoviște organizes the International Week of Economic Sciences Research. Participants will have the opportunity to meet internationally recognized specialists, attend thematic lectures, engage in specific activities, and participate in the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar and the ASF Academic Laboratory. The final two days of the International Week will be dedicated to the International Conference “Global Interferences of Knowledge Society” (GIKS). Students, doctoral candidates, academic staff, and researchers are invited to join!
On 23 October 2024, the Faculty of Economic Sciences hosted the 4th edition of the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar & ASF Academic Laboratory.
In partnership with the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), the event featured two engaging presentations with significant practical applicability in the economic field:

Ieronim ȘTEFAN (ISF) and Vlad NICOLĂESCU (ASF) addressed the challenges of digital fraud, offering participants essential advice to protect their finances through the presentation titled “Digital Fraud That Can Empty Your Wallet: Tips for Students”. They also emphasized the importance of financial education in Romanian society.

Oana CRISTINA shared insights on creating a successful CV and effective strategies for excelling in job interviews, covering the topic “CV Building and Job Interviews”.
The SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar continues to be a tradition that inspires and shapes future specialists in the field.
On 24 October 2024, Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF, participated in the plenary session of the conference organized by the Faculty of Economic Sciences at Valahia University in Târgoviște. He delivered a presentation on the activities of the Institute of Financial Studies and its partnership with the university.
“The Institute of Financial Studies has developed an extensive partnership with universities in Romania and the main entities operating in the financial markets. Valahia University in Târgoviște is part of this partnership, with over 500 students benefiting in the last three years from vocational seminars such as SmartFIN & ASF Academic Laboratory, or participating in student competitions like the Insurance Academy and the Investment Academy,” stated Prof. Siminică.
