The Institute of Financial Studies continues this year too, in partnership with prestigious universities from Romania, the program SmartFIN@ISF - Vocational Training Seminars. This has as objective the improvement of skills and knowledge of students, future consumers of financial services (at the end of their studies) but also potential employees in the financial markets (insurance, banks, private pensions, investments).

The project was born in 2021 and has included so far 87 meetings attended by approximately 6500 students. These have received participation certificates from the ISF, recognized by the institutions active in the field of non-banking financial markets.

"SmartFIN project continues this spring with interesting and useful presentations, carried out by specialists from the non-banking financial markets, for students from faculties with an economic profile in Romania. Previous editions have enjoyed great interest from students, the events held online and on-site attracting thousands of students each year. We have noticed, on the one hand, the support provided by the partner universities in promoting these events among students, and on the other hand, the very good collaboration with our project partners, the Financial Supervisory Authority and the National Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies in Romania, but also with the other entities from the non-banking financial markets. We are convinced that through a very good collaboration between the academic environment, authorities, and the business environment we can contribute to increasing the level of financial education among young people.", stated Mr. Marian Siminică, Executive Director ISF.

The project involves holding seminars that include:

interactive presentations on the subject of career (recruitment, personal development), starting from the requirements of the market/companies and continuing with the difficulties faced by future employees, especially in the pandemic context; presentations of case studies, technical and practical aspects from the field of insurance, capital market, private pensions. The seminars are delivered by experts in the field, from the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Institute of Financial Studies, or members of the professional associations in the financial field, partners of the ISF.

The number of places at these sessions is limited to 50 to provide efficient support to those present.

As a result of participation, students will receive Participation Certificates issued by the ISF and recognized by the institutions active in the field of non-banking financial markets.
