The Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), together with the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), organized in 2023, in partnership with 21 prestigious universities in Romania, the SmartFIN@ISF – Academic Laboratory - Vocational Training Seminars program. This program aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of students, who are future consumers of financial services and potential employees in non-banking financial markets (insurance, private pensions, investments).
The project began in 2021 and has included, to date, 150 meetings attended by approximately 10,654 students. These students received participation certificates from ISF, recognized by institutions active in the non-banking financial markets.
The project involves conducting seminars that include:
- Interactive presentations on career topics (recruitment, personal development), starting with the requirements of the market/companies and addressing the challenges faced by future employees;
- Presentations of case studies, technical, and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and private pensions.
Throughout 2023, 42 sessions (both online and in-person) were organized, involving 2,204 students. The seminars were delivered by 54 experts in the field, from the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), the Institute of Financial Studies (ISF), and entities operating in the non-banking financial markets, ISF partners, such as UNSAR, AAF, and BVB.
