The Institute of Financial Studies and the Financial Supervisory Authority, in partnership with the “1 Decembrie 1918” University in Alba Iulia through the Faculty of Economic Sciences, invite you on May 9, 2023, at 15:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar and Academic Laboratory. Special Guests at the May 9 Session:
Professor Dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Corporate Financial Diagnosis and is a PhD advisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008–2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012–2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, including: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association from 2016 to 2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission for “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Committee, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized through the publication of 7 books and university textbooks, over 60 articles in specialized journals, including 12 articles in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in international databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; models for researching enterprise behavior.
Deputy Director of ISF: Cătălin CÂMPEANU – Holds a degree in legal sciences, a master’s degree in Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management, and is a graduate of the Young Professional Scheme public management program. He is a human resources specialist with over 20 years of experience in personal development and adult professional training, including experience gained at EIPA, the European Institute of Public Administration. He has held various management positions in the field, including Director of Development at the National Institute of Administration, Vice-President of the Sectoral Committee for Financial, Banking, and Insurance Activities, and a member of the EFICERT (European Financial Certification) board.
Associate Professor Dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, PhD in Finance - Insurance, with over 20 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed postdoctoral studies at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, BDI-indexed articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. As an ANC-authorized trainer with international certifications, she has contributed to the development of professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She delivers presentations at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects for students (secondary school, high school) and pre-university teachers.
Dr. Alin T. BĂIESCU, MBA, has over 20 years of experience in the fields of insurance, private pensions, and banking, working in multinational companies such as Metropolitan Life, Eureko, Garanta Asigurări, Raiffeisen, and AEGON, in middle and top management positions. He holds a PhD in the financial field (2001 – “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu, RO) and an Executive MBA (2019 – University of Hull, UK). He is an associate professor at the University of Buckingham (UK) for the Executive MBA program delivered in Romania, as well as at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA) at the “Babeș-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca (RO). To date, he is the author, co-author, or coordinator of 10 specialized books in the fields of economics, business, or insurance. His work has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions, both nationally and internationally.
Dan Alexandru CHITIC is an economist, graduate of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial market, working in both banking and non-banking sectors. Since 2017, he has been working at the Financial Supervisory Authority, holding the position of financial education officer. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous teaching activities and has delivered presentations to employees of non-banking entities, teachers, and at various universities in Romania. He has also given lectures at several conferences and seminars.
Ștefan MUSGOCIU has been active in the capital market since 2007, initially as a capital market journalist at the Mediafax press agency until 2014, when he joined the Bucharest Stock Exchange team.
He was part of the teams that launched two of the most important financial education programs of the Bucharest Stock Exchange:
- Fluent in Finance by BVB, in 2015, a program dedicated to beginner investors;
- Made in Romania, in 2017, a program dedicated to entrepreneurs and the development of their companies.
