The Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with the Romanian-American University in Bucharest, invites you on November 23, 2022, at 11:00 to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar includes interactive presentations on career topics and case studies, as well as technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
Special guests at the November 23 session:
Prof. univ. dr. Marian SIMINICĂ, Executive Director of ISF and university professor at the University of Craiova, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, teaches courses in Economic-Financial Analysis and Firm Financial Diagnosis and is a doctoral supervisor in the field of Accounting. He has extensive experience in university management, having served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2008 – 2012), responsible for scientific research and quality assurance in education, and as Dean from 2012 to 2016. He was Vice-President of the Board of the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania (2012-2016). He is a member of several professional associations in the economic field, namely: ANEVAR expert evaluator, serving as Secretary General of the association Focal point: association from 2016-2017; certified accountant, member of CECCAR; tax consultant, member of CCFR. Since 2014, he has been Vice-President of the Romanian Society for Economic-Financial Analysis (SRAEF). Since 2017, he has been a member of the CNATDCU Commission “Economic Sciences and Business Administration,” and since 2018, a member of the ARACIS Permanent Experts Commission, contributing to the external evaluation of numerous undergraduate and master’s programs in the economic field. He has extensive experience in scientific research, materialized through the publication of 7 books and university manuals, over 60 articles in specialized journals, of which 12 are in Web of Science-indexed journals with non-zero AIS, participation in national and international conferences, and involvement in scientific research contracts as grant director or research team member. He is a reviewer for several Web of Science-indexed journals and a member of the editorial board for several journals indexed in International Databases. His main research directions are: financial performance and risks of enterprises; sectoral economic-financial analyses; and models for researching enterprise behavior.
Conf univ. dr. Laura Elly NAGHI, Doctor in the field of Finance - Insurance with over 20 years of experience in adult professional training. She completed post-doctoral studies at ASE Bucharest in the field of insurance. She has published several books in the financial field, BDI articles, and frequently participates in international conferences. An ANC-authorized trainer with international certifications, she has contributed to the development of professional training manuals specific to non-banking financial markets. She delivers presentations at events organized in the financial market, including financial education projects for students (middle school, high school) and pre-university teachers.
Cătălin VĂCĂRUȘ is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest – Faculty of Marketing and Faculty of Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Stock Exchanges. He began his career at NN at the age of 19, after his first year of university, and progressed through all career levels, from financial consultant to agency director, eventually becoming the Regional Sales Director, coordinating the activities of financial consultants in his region’s agencies.
Mihnea BĂRBULESCU has over 20 years of experience in the Romanian capital market, with expertise in the sales of treasury products, financial investment services, and the management of collective and individual portfolios. His knowledge has been accumulated within prestigious (financial) institutions in Romania, such as Raiffeisen Bank, Raiffeisen Capital & Investment S.A, BT Securities, and Erste Asset Management Romania. He currently holds the position of Executive Director at Erste Asset Management Romania, overseeing sales, marketing, and product management activities.
