StartFIN Begins, an ISF Professional Training Program for Primary School Teachers
Bucharest, August 10, 2022 - The Institute of Financial Studies (ISF) has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, starting from August 3, 2022, to organize a continuous professional development program aimed at primary school teachers, which provides the development of specific financial education competencies.
The StartFIN program (Training of teaching staff in primary education in the financial field) consists of 40 hours and offers 10 continuous training credits to participants. The program is accredited for 4 years in a blended learning format, with 20 hours organized online, synchronously, and 20 hours organized asynchronously, thus providing the advantage of remote participation for teachers from across the country.
For the year 2022, ISF offers the opportunity for free training for 500 primary school teachers.
The purpose of the StartFIN program, organized by the Institute of Financial Studies in partnership with the Financial Supervisory Authority, is to develop technical knowledge specific to financial markets for teachers in primary education. The program is intended to disseminate financial concepts among students and young people. The regulator and professional associations in Romania support the project through such economic-financial training courses for teaching staff, with the aim of increasing the chances of financial inclusion among young people.
For enrollment, participants must prepare an educational portfolio, which will be evaluated by a specialized committee composed of experts in the financial field. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to have their professional training credits recognized.
Places will be filled in the order of registration for the program by submitting the required documents to the email address startfin@isf.ro.
