The Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with the “Ștefan cel Mare” University in Suceava and the Association of Economics Faculties in Romania, organizes on May 4–5, 2023, the International Economic Conference - SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND FINANCIAL EDUCATION - FACTORS FOR INCREASING FINANCIAL RESILIENCE.
The main objective of this conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners in the economic field to exchange results and experiences and to discuss the latest trends and challenges in the area of sustainable development.
Students from bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs are also encouraged to present their research papers and receive feedback and academic guidance.

On May 4, 2023, as part of the conference, the “Ștefan cel Mare” University in Suceava, in partnership with the Financial Supervisory Authority and the Institute of Financial Studies, organizes the discussion panel entitled “The Role of Financial Education in Ensuring Sustainability” between 14:00 and 16:00. The session aims to capture the impact of new European legislative changes on Romania’s financial markets – whether discussing financial resilience, concerns regarding non-financial reporting, or uniform accounting reporting standards. Opinion leaders are invited to debate and propose actions to address the risks and opportunities that recent events present for the long-term resilience and business success of companies.
The topics considered for this event focus on the following subjects:
- Promoting greater financial knowledge among SME owners and managers.
- Sustainability and financial education
- Integrating financial education within the family
- Benefits of scientific research and financial education

Also, on May 4, 2023, starting at 11:00, the Institute of Financial Studies, in partnership with the “Ștefan cel Mare” University in Suceava, invites students of the “Ștefan cel Mare” University in Suceava to the SmartFIN@ISF Vocational Training Seminar. The seminar will include interactive presentations on career topics, case studies, and technical and practical aspects from the fields of insurance, capital markets, and pensions.
